Michael Hamilton

Michael is an Associate at ALTU and Project Technical Lead who has gained experience in a number of architectural practices since graduating in 2005. He has worked across a wide variety of projects, in the healthcare, residential, hospitality and educational sectors, covering all work stages.

Michael’s particular areas of expertise lie in construction technology, statutory requirements, best practice and universal design guidelines. He implements and audits all project documentation to ensure compliance with building regulations, building codes and planning regulations. Michael also brings to ALTU a deep knowledge and understanding of technical development standards from his work on acute and non-acute projects within the healthcare sector.

Mike Brotarlo

Mike has a degree of BS Architecture from the University of San Agustin, Philippines. He has been working with Altu since June 2004 on a variety of projects.

He is a team player, consistent and reliable in delivering Altu services to ensure client expectations are met. Mike has extensive experience in the architecture and construction sector with 26 years of large project experience in the Middle East and Ireland. Mike is an integral part of Altu’s Building Information Modelling approach and brings experience and technical knowledge to the project team.

Agata Stefanicka

Agata is an Architect with 20 years of experience in planning and designing buildings in Poland and Ireland. She has worked on several commercial, office and residential projects including residential masterplans. Agata has extensive experience in working through all phases from conceptual design, planning permission application to construction documentation. As well as this Agata has a deep knowledge of Archicad including 3D modelling in BIM technology. A qualified Architect in Poland, Agata graduated with a masters degree in Architecture from the Wroclaw University of Science and Technology.

Conor Casserly

Conor studied Architecture in the University of Limerick graduating with honours in 2018. Prior to joining Altu, Conor has worked in offices in New York and Ireland focusing on educational, Garda, historic and fit-out projects. During this time, Conor undertook his studies in Architectural Practice from Univiserity College Dublin allowing him to gain membership to the Royal Institute of Architects of Ireland in 2022, while concurrently obtaining a Post Graduate Dipolma in Project Management from Trinity College Dublin in 2021.

Sam Roberts-Law

Sam is an Architectural Technologist and Certified Passive House Designer with over 8 years of professional experience as a designer and 3 years as a labourer then carpenter on construction sites. This translates to him having the ability to blend theoretical knowledge with practical knowledge. His distinctive combination of skills and expertise, encompassing energy modeling, thermal bridge modeling, and technical detailing, plays a crucial role in facilitating the transition to low-carbon housing whilst keeping it affordable. It also ensures the highest quality standards and effectively minimises the performance gap in the construction industry.

Sam has been lead Passive House designer on over 40 projects from concept to certification, plus conducting post-occupancy research. Driven by a longstanding commitment to sustainability, he has made notable contributions to leading companies in the sustainable construction sector. His professional evolution lead him to becoming a Passivhaus designer offering valuable consultation across diverse sectors, including two office HQ’s in Dublin’s financial district, social housing & community centres. In recent times, he collaborated with Cairn Homes, guiding them through the transition to the Passivhaus standard to fulfill their carbon reduction objectives. The initial project involved a 607-unit apartment scheme on the outskirts of Dublin. Sam’s expertise has evolved to provide essential solutions, supporting companies in attaining their ESG and EU Taxonomy targets.

Liam Willoughby

Liam is a Senior Architectural Technologist with ALTU and has a strong design and engineering background and substantial experience in the Office and Retail sectors in the UK and Ireland.

On joining the Practice, Liam has continued to build on this experience and has worked on large scale Office and retail developments for international clients in the Dundrum and Blackrock areas.

Liam combines a sound technical knowledge with a passion for BIM and construction detailing.

Aleksandra Kozołub

Aleksandra has a Master Degree in Architecture from Wroclaw University of Technology. During her studies, she took part in many architectural competitions and graduated in 2018 with an award-winning Master Thesis. Since joining ALTU in 2018, Aleksandra has worked on various large-scale residential, commercial and office projects gaining experience in working at different stages.

Alan Pyjek

Alan has a Master Degree of Architecture from the Wroclaw University of Technology, Poland. He started his career at Altu Architects in 2018. During his studies, he took part in many architectural competitions and gained knowledge in the field of sustainable architecture, history of architecture and urban design. His work experience in Altu combines project involvement in varying scales at different stages. He has been part of the design team on project of commercial, public and residential buildings. Apart from architecture, he is interested in graphic design and new technologies in the areas of IT.

Daniel Egan

Daniel studied Architecture at the University College Dublin, where he graduated with a Master of Architecture in 2021 and a Bachelor of Science in 2020. Daniel is an Architectural Assistant at Altu Architects and joined at the beginning of 2022. He has built up an impressive portfolio of work in the residential sector through the use of Building Information Modelling (BIM). He is a member of the Residential/Masterplanning Team within the practice. Throughout his work, Daniel produced design drawings and visualisations for feasibilites and planning application stages. He was exposed to working in both a group setting and on a one to one basis also.

Jack D Byrne

Jack studied Architectural Technology at the Technological University of Dublin, graduating in 2020 with a BSc. (Hons) in Architectural Technology. Following that, Jack then completed a masters in Mass Timber Design from the Institute of Advanced Architecture Catalonia. Upon joining ALTU, Jack has worked on a variety of large-scale Hotel, Retail, Fit-Out and Commercial projects across Dublin.
