Momentum is a company provides award-winning Soft Services to businesses and organisations based in UK and Ireland. They engaged ALTU to develop their new Headquarter premises in Dublin 12.
When they bought a disused 1970’s Warehouse fronting Naas Road at the Bluebell Luas Stop, a former distribution centre for Heineken, they engaged ALTU to redevelop it into their new Headquarters comprising office space, training facilities and a secure warehouse.
The existing fabric of the building was in poor repair, although tests on the Portal Steel Frame concluded that it was structurally sound. It was decided to strip the building fabric back to the portal frame, create a new two storey office and staff facilities block to the front of the building and a high bay warehouse to the rear.
A new highly insulated skin with large expanses of full height north facing curtain walling to the office areas and rooflights to the warehouse, maximised daylight while providing an energy efficient and pleasant working environment.
