The proposed Amharc Atalia Large-Scale Residential Development (LRD) represents the first phase of regeneration within the wider Galway Inner Harbour Masterplan. The project converts a strategic 1.621-hectare brownfield site into a high-density, mixed-use urban neighbourhood, establishing physical and visual connections between Galway’s city centre and the waterfront.
Building heights step down towards the waterfront, ranging from 6 storeys to 13 storeys. This layout optimises natural daylight to the apartments and central communal areas while helping to shelter the inner spaces from wind exposure. The scheme is finished in a durable palette of three complementary brick tones, dark grey at the base with light grey and buff on the upper levels, to provide a contemporary aesthetic that remains resilient in a coastal environment.
