Marianna achieved her master’s degree in Architecture for New and Ancient at the IUAV University of Venice after a bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Construction and Conservation. Marianna’s first internship, at Arch. L.Bolzonetto, introduced her to the use of BIM models. Further technological skills had been explored during her Master’s internship at the IUAV photogrammetry lab where she wrote her thesis about the survey techniques for the creation of digital twins. After her studies, Marianna undertook an internship working with Lena Wimmer Architects, where her creations embodied a more international approach to design. During this time, she also took part in the “ReUse the fallen Church” competition by ReUse Italy, which, together with her team developed a proposal for a concert hall and cultural center in the site of the ex-Chiesa Diruta (Italy). In June 2022 Marianna joined Altu as an Architectural assistant, a role in which she could apply her knowledge of BIM and learn a vast number of new skills in the fields of Irish residential and commercial architecture. Marianna’s work is based on the production of drawings and illustrations for feasibility studies and design stage drawings, moreover, she works alongside her colleagues on the later stages of projects.
